Yay! There is finally a bit of snow on the ground. 🙂 Not very much, but enough to cover the ugly brown up and make the trees look pretty. Today, I am going to get in the Christmas spirit and break out the christmas decorations and decorate the house, if my shoulder can handle it. It’s been really sore for the last month, so I finally made a doctors appointment.
Anyhow, I’ve been pretty busy with school and all the fun projects that go along with it, but there are only two weeks left. Phew… what a relief.
Since I’ve now posted something new, the blog police can get off my back. I think I did it within the specified 24 hour time period alotted.
the plane is sitting on stilts and wok has begun.
this is the horizontal stab /elevator with hinges.
Happy Belated Birthday Amy!
I have been remiss. I did not post birthday wishes to my freind Amy. Belated Birthday wishes, Amy. I’ll post your picture later. 😀 I don’t have it on hand on my iBook… its on my desktop computer.
Here she is! Be careful what you wish for Amy Lou!
I finally had time to work on my airplane. Saturday morning I worked on the hinges for the elevator and Sunday afternoon I cut out new airfoil templates for the vertical stabilizer and elevator. Here’s a couple of pictures of what I’ve accomplished.
I’m feeling the need to post something new since it is way past Jen’s Birthday, but my life is pretty boring right now, so I don’t have much to post. I downloaded FireFox the other day and am playing with it and the themes. It’s a pretty cool program and I am quickly learning to like it more than Safari. I especially like the tabs feature.
I’ve also been looking up scholarships on the web for teachers, or history, or anything else that may pertain to me, so if anyone would like to contribute, I’ll write an essay to you too. 🙂 Just give me the topic, I’ll add it to my list.
I have a kind of lull in school right now. Midterms are past, and I chose to do all of my semester projects early in the year, so that I don’t really have a lot to do for school other than maintain and keep up with the reading. Maybe even catch up a little, since I was so busy a couple weeks ago. I guess thats all for now.
Happy Birthday to Jennifer Simerson, my most favoritest sister-in-law in the world. She married to my most favoritest brother.
Happy Birthday Jen!
So I just had lunch with my friend LaTia. I showed her my iBook because she was talking about wanting to get a laptop for grad school and she was also talking about asking her dad for an iPod for Christmas. She was pretty impressed with the iBook. Since we were in Frandor, we walked over to CompUSA to look at the different types of iPod’s. We looked at them for awhile and then mosied over to the Apple computing section. I was looking for the new iMacs to play around with, and see all the fun new features, and didn’t see a new one. I asked about the new ones and they were just getting it out of the box to display. We had the pleasure of watching it set up (for all you non-mac people, its a matter of plugging it in and typing in your name and address, basically). She was impressed with how quickly and easily it was set up and asked where all the CD’s were to load everything. 🙂 I think we may have a mac convert… or at least one can hope. We played with photobooth for a bit… i took our picture, then set the desktop to it. She figured out how to undo that, but the picture is still in PhotoBooth. I should go back over there and email it to myself… I think I will since I’m right next door, and then post it here. 🙂 We had fun.
And, no, this post was not paid for by Apple.
P.S. Ok, so I did, and here it is:
Hi All! If you know my brother, Matt, then wish him a Happy Birthday today. It’s his 32nd!
Happy Birthday, Matt!
well today I moved my airplane project to its new home in st johns.
it now resides in a drafty barn. I am in the process of putting plastic on the walls and luann on the floors.
the space should be finished in a week then
BACK TO BUILDING
So, I got my test results today. I got better than 100% on both of them. And my presentation went well too; I received 9.5 of 10 possible points. So now my semester is half over, and I am doing really well. Thanks for all the prayers and support. I have a presentation in my music class on Thursday, and a takehome midterm for the same class on Tuesday.
In other news, Keith will be moving his airplane into the barn loft this weekend. Exciting for him! He can start working on it again. He wants to have it finished by 2007 (I think) so he is excited to have it close so that he can work more often.
I registered for all my classes next semester. I have 18 credits, so it will be another busy semester. However, they are all on Tuesdays and Thursdays, so I should have time to substitute teach during the spring, which will be great experience.
