So I’ve been doing a lot of resale shopping lately. I think I’ve become addicted to Mom 2 Mom sales and Craigslist.org and Freecycle.org. Love them. I’ve gotten some great, much needed and gently used baby stuff. Diaper Champ, cloth diapers, books, NWT clothing items for a $1! It’s fabulous. Saturday I went to a mom2mom sale, and Levi fell asleep on the way home. Didn’t find much there, but we have been looking for a few of the “bigger” toddler items, like a convertible car seat. And since he stayed over at Joy’s for a day, he played with their cozy coupe car and loved it. He also loves the ones at church in the toddler room, so I’ve been keeping an eye out for one. I digress – he fell asleep so I decided to keep driving around the neighborhoods, taking the long way home since Levi will wake up when the car stops. I’m swinging by garage/yard sales and slowing down and looking, since what I’m looking for is big stuff. I’m talking to Becky on the phone who assures me that at 11:00 in the morning, everything is picked over and I likely won’t find what I’m looking for – and as she is saying this, I pass a sale with this in their yard:

Becky asks what I’m willing to spend, to which I reply, ahhh, $10. And voila!, $10 it was. :) And one super excited wiggly boy as he opens his eyes to me trying to cram this thing in my back seat! When I got it in, he stroked it and said, “Oh Yeah! Oh Yeah!” in his ‘I’m the luckiest boy in the world, it’s exactly what I wanted!!!” voice.

Guess it makes up for me locking him and my keys into the car on Mother’s Day… that’s another story!

My little man LOVES the phone. He rides Lightening McQueen and talks on the phone, he hides the phone in McQueen, and boy does he have a lot to say! Just listen:

And he likes to “read” as well:

I think I pick the books up and reshelf them daily!

And last night, we got some crayons to try out. He likes them, and didn’t try to eat them, but he did try to hoard them into McQueens compartments. That’s his favorite hiding spot!

I realize that most of the updates here are on Levi. He’s pretty much our whole lives now, but we do do things outside of him. Keith is tinkering with a wind generator right now and getting around 20-25 volts (i think) out of it. I am almost done with the semester (one final to take, but it won’t be difficult), and student teach in Saint Johns this coming fall. We are just happily plugging away, loving on our little boy.
