Classes were cancelled yesterday because of a power outage on campus. What a great way to start the semester!
So I stayed home and played Susie-Homemaker.
I pulled out some frozen turkey broth leftover from Thanksgiving and made a super yummy turkey soup with yummy root veggies like rutabaga and carrots and green onions, oh my. And when I went to toss in a few egg noodles, I realized that OOPS, I didn’t have any. So I threw together some homemade egg noodles and they just made the soup go from good to fabulous. Yum!
Then while that was simmering away in the crockpot, I started piecing the baby quilt for my friend Tiffany’s shower next Saturday. I’ve completed 4 blocks – 8 more to go. Here’s my start:
Can you believe it? A post without Levi pics!!! (But that upper tooth did finally pop all the way through and can now be seen and felt.

Looks like a great quilt. Should keep you busy for a while. Looking forward to seeing those home made diapers next!
